Moeller has reduced the number of variants from seven to four frame sizes with just three differing widths (45mm up to 32A, 55mm up to 65A and 90mm up to 150A).

The DILM contactors are significantly more compact than their predecessors, even with an integrated auxiliary contact up to 32A.

Mounting

The contactors feature box terminals with two spaces, allowing differing cable cross-sections to be terminated securely. What is more, the coil connections are easily accessible, being located at the front. This makes wiring easier and reduces wiring faults.

Moeller also offers spring-loaded terminals; main and control circuit terminations up to 12A; above 12A only control circuit terminations.

The DC contactors are now the same size as their AC counterparts, which helps to reduce the size and cost of the control panel.

Operation

All DC-operated contactors have an integrated suppressor.

The space saving is achieved not just by the reduced component dimensions, but also thanks to lower heat dissipation that, particularly with the DC contactors, helps keep the panel or enclosure size down.

The voltage tolerance of the DC contactors exceeds the requirements of the IEC standards and ensures effective protection in the event of under and over voltage.
